(Matthew 14:26-27)
"When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. 'It's a ghost,' they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: 'Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid.'"

CHAPTER SUMMARY:
In Matthew 14:14-36, Jesus performs miracles and displays his compassionate nature. He heals the sick and feeds thousands of people with just a few loaves of bread and fish. He walks on water and calms a storm, showing his power over nature. This passage highlights Jesus' ability to meet physical and spiritual needs, and it teaches us about his love, compassion, and authority.

Today, I want to share with you an encouraging devotional message based on Matthew 14:26-27. Let's take a moment to reflect on these beautiful words of Jesus, which say:

"When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. 'It's a ghost,' they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them, 'Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid.'"

In this passage, we witness a powerful moment of fear and doubt experienced by the disciples as they saw Jesus walking on the water. Their initial reaction was to be terrified, thinking they had encountered a ghost.

Can you imagine the confusion and anxiety that must have filled their hearts? In times of uncertainty, fear often grips our souls too. We face challenges, storms, and unexpected situations that shake our faith, just like the disciples did in that moment.

But let us take comfort in the words of Jesus when He says, "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." These words hold immense power and promise for us today.

First and foremost, Jesus invites us to take courage. He doesn't want us to remain in a state of fear and
