Devotional Message:
(Hebrews 4:16)
"Let us then approach Gods throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

Observation:
Have you heard of the term "seven minutes of terror"? It’s used by scientists to describe the most dangerous part of landing a spacecraft on Mars. Those seven minutes are filled with uncertainty. The spacecraft must enter Mars’ atmosphere, endure intense heat, and navigate its way to land safely—all without human intervention. Communication delays between Earth and Mars make it impossible for anyone to step in and take control. The scientists on Earth can only watch, hope, and wait.

Life often feels like this. There are times when we face our own “seven minutes of terror.” These are moments when we feel completely out of control—whether it’s a health crisis, financial problems, family struggles, or decisions that could change the course of our lives. We try our best, but the situation is too big for us to handle alone. Like the scientists, we wait, unsure of the outcome.

But here’s the good news: as believers, we are never alone in those moments. Hebrews 4:16 reminds us that we can approach God’s throne of grace with confidence. God is not far away, watching helplessly. He is right here with us, ready to give us mercy and grace when we need it most.

Think about it: the same God who created the universe, who holds the stars in place, and who formed you in your mother’s womb invites you to come to Him. He doesn’t require fancy words or a perfect life. He simply asks for your trust and honesty. Whether you’re celebrating a victory or enduring a trial, you can come to Him boldly, knowing He cares.
