(Matthew 3:17)
Then, a voice from heaven proclaimed, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

CHAPTER:
In Matthew 3, John the Baptist appears and preaches about repentance for sins. He baptizes people in the Jordan River, symbolizing their commitment to change their ways. John emphasizes that being religious or part of a certain group isn't enough, true repentance is needed. Jesus also comes to John to be baptized, and as he comes out of the water, the heavens open, and the Holy Spirit descends on Jesus in the form of a dove. God's voice is heard, declaring that Jesus is His beloved Son. This chapter teaches us the importance of repentance, baptism, and recognizing Jesus as God's chosen one.

REFLECTION:
In Matthew 3:17, we read about a remarkable moment when Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. As Jesus emerged from the water, the heavens opened, and the Spirit of God descended like a dove, resting upon Him.

These words hold incredible promise and encouragement for us as believers. They remind us of God's unconditional love for Jesus, His Son. But beyond that, these words also reveal God's heart for each and every one of us. We have been adopted into God's family through faith in Jesus Christ, and He loves us just as He loves His Son.

Isn't it amazing to think that we, too, are sons and daughters of God? As His children, He delights in us, takes pleasure in us, and finds joy in our existence. He is not disappointed in us; instead, He is well pleased with us. This truth should bring us great comfort and confidence.

When we face challenges, doubts, or discouragement, let us always remember who we are in God's eyes. We are cherished, beloved, and accepted. Through Jesus, we have been restored to a right relationship
