Devotional Message:
(Psalm 38:15)
"Lord, I wait for you; you will answer, Lord my God."

Observation:
The writer of this psalm, David, was in deep trouble. His body was weak, his heart was heavy, and his mind was full of worry. He felt as though his enemies were closing in, and there was no one else to help him. But instead of giving up or seeking help from the wrong places, David turned to the Lord. He didn’t rush ahead or try to fix everything on his own. Instead, he waited patiently, believing that God would come to his rescue.

This verse shows us David’s trust and hope in God. He didn’t know when or how God would answer, but he was confident that God would respond. David��s situation reminds us that waiting on the Lord is not a sign of weakness but a sign of faith. It’s an acknowledgment that God’s timing and plans are far better than ours.

Application:
In life, we often find ourselves in situations where we feel stuck or overwhelmed. Maybe we’re dealing with a financial problem, a family conflict, or even a personal failure. During these moments, we tend to act quickly, looking for solutions on our own. But just like David, we are reminded to stop, pray, and trust in God’s ability to rescue us.

Waiting for God doesn’t mean doing nothing; it means praying, seeking His guidance, and trusting that He hears us. Waiting also tests our faith. Can we trust God even when we don’t see immediate results? Like a lifeguard rescuing someone drowning, God knows the best way to save us without causing harm.

Think of your current struggles. Are you trying to fix things in your own strength? Or are you willing to surrender them to God and trust in His rescue mission? Instead of panicking or rushing ahead, spend time in prayer and seek His Word. God’s answers may not come immediately, but His timing is always perfect.
