Devotional Message:
(Deuteronomy 8:18)
"Remember the LORD your God."

Observation:
Many people work hard to earn a living. Some wake up early and spend long hours at their jobs or businesses, believing that their success comes only from their own efforts. Others rely on their intelligence, skills, or connections to achieve financial stability. While hard work and wisdom are important, we must never forget where all these blessings truly come from.

Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us that it is God who gives us the ability to produce wealth. He provides us with strength, intelligence, and opportunities. Everything we have—our jobs, businesses, skills, and even the people who help us—comes from Him. If we are blessed financially or materially, it is not just because of our efforts but because God, in His grace, allows us to experience abundance.

The Israelites were warned in this passage not to be proud or forgetful when they reached the Promised Land. They were about to enjoy a land flowing with milk and honey, but God reminded them that their prosperity was not their own doing. It was God who provided for them, and it was God who sustained them.

Application:

This verse teaches us an important lesson: to always acknowledge God as the source of our blessings. When we receive financial provision, a promotion, a business breakthrough, or any form of success, we must not take credit for it alone. Instead, we should thank God and use our blessings wisely.

1. Be Humble and Grateful. When we achieve success, let’s not be boastful. Instead, let’s recognize that God is the giver of every good thing. A grateful heart acknowledges that without God, we can do nothing.

2. Be Faithful Stewards. Since our ability to gain wealth comes from God, we must use it wisely. We should not waste money on things that do not glorify Him. Instead, we should be generous, help those in need, and
