“Who are You, Lord?” Saul asked.

Devotional Message:
Imagine walking through life thinking you know everything about your purpose, your beliefs, and the direction you're heading. Then, suddenly, a light shines so brightly it stops you in your tracks. You hear a voice so powerful that it shakes the very core of your being. That’s exactly what happened to Saul on the road to Damascus. Saul was a man confident in his ways, persecuting Christians because he believed he was doing the right thing. But in a moment, everything he thought he knew crumbled.

When Saul asked, "Who are You, Lord?" he wasn’t just asking a casual question. It was a cry of desperation, humility, and surrender. Saul realized he was face-to-face with a power far greater than his own. Jesus’ response revealed the truth: “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.” That moment changed Saul forever. He went from being a persecutor of Christians to becoming one of the greatest apostles for Christ.

For us, this story holds a powerful lesson. Sometimes, we think we know who God is and what He wants from us, but we can be walking in the wrong direction, just like Saul. It’s possible to be so focused on our own plans, ambitions, and beliefs that we miss God’s voice trying to guide us. We may not have a dramatic encounter like Saul, but God speaks to us every day—through His Word, through prayer, and even through the circumstances around us.

So today, take a moment to reflect and ask, “Who are You, Lord?” Ask God to reveal Himself in a deeper, more personal way. Maybe you’ve been going through the motions, thinking you know who God is, but have you really sought to understand His heart? Have you paused long enough to listen to His voice? Saul’s question wasn’t just about identifying Jesus—it was about surrendering to His will.
