Devotional Message:
(Psalms 25:9)
He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.
When we try to force our own agenda or strive to do what we want to do, there is a sense of spiritual unease and discomfort. It is like wearing a pair of shoes that don't fit. When we are living a life of worship and obedience and following God's path, He promises that we will be at ease and in a place of rest.
Of course, that does not mean that life will be easy. But when we start following God's plans for our lives, it is like finding a pair of shoes that fit comfortably. Again and again in this psalm we are reminded of how God guides us. He instructs (Verses 8, 12), He guides (Verse 9), and He teaches. He even speaks with and confides in His people.
David explains that God's goodness leads Him to want to teach even sinful people; therefore He instructs sinners in His ways (Verse 8). Even though David's sins and iniquities are great, he knows that he can be forgiven and put right by God (Verse 11).

Verse 9 tells us God loves a humble heart. God wants friendship with each of us, and He wants us to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. They are the ones God confides in and shares His revelation with (Verse 14).
Ultimately, the purpose of God's guidance is for us to do what is right and for us to fulfill our purpose. As we choose to be obedient and to surrender to His Lordship, we can be sure that God will only ask you to do what is right. The very test of whether the guidance comes from God is whether what you are being asked to do is loving and faithful and helpful to others (Verse 10).
God will never ask you to do something that
