Devotional Message:
(2 Corinthians 2:14)
"But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ's triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere."

First, let’s talk about the part that says, 'thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession.' This means that we are part of a victory parade led by Jesus. In ancient times, after a battle, the winning army would parade through the streets, showing everyone their victory. Paul, the writer of this letter, is telling us that Jesus has won a great victory over sin and death. Because of this victory, we are now part of His triumphant procession. This is a reason to be thankful every day because we are no longer defeated by sin. Instead, we walk in the victory that Jesus has given us.

Next, the verse says that God 'uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.' Think about how a beautiful fragrance spreads through a room. You notice it immediately, and it changes the atmosphere. Similarly, God wants to use us to spread the knowledge of Him wherever we go. Our words, actions, and lives should reflect Jesus in such a way that others can 'smell' the fragrance of His love, grace, and truth.

Now, let’s consider how we can live this out practically. Here are a few points to help us spread the aroma of Christ:

1. Be Grateful: Always start your day by thanking God for His victory in your life. This helps you to remember that you are walking in His triumph and not in defeat.

2. Live with Purpose: Understand that you are part of God’s plan to spread His knowledge. Every interaction you have is an opportunity to show someone the love of Jesus. Whether it’s a kind word to a stranger, a helping hand to a neighbor, or sharing your faith with a friend, you are spreading His aroma.
