Devotional Message:
(2 Corinthians 5:7)
"For we live by faith, not by sight."
It reminds us of the importance of trusting in God, even when we cannot see what lies ahead.
1. Understanding Faith
Faith is believing in something we cannot see or touch. It is trusting in God's promises and His plan for our lives. Sometimes, life can be uncertain and challenging. We may face situations where we don't know what will happen next. In those moments, living by faith means relying on God and His guidance.
2. Walking in Faith
Walking by faith means making decisions based on our trust in God, rather than what we can see or understand. It's like walking in the dark with a flashlight. We can't see everything around us, but we trust that the light will guide us step by step. Similarly, we trust God to lead us, even when we can't see the whole path.
3. Examples from the Bible
The Bible is full of stories of people who lived by faith. Abraham is a great example. God called him to leave his home and go to a land he didn't know. Abraham didn't have a map or detailed plan, but he trusted God and obeyed. His faith led him to become the father of many nations.
Another example is Peter. When Jesus walked on water, Peter asked to join Him. At first, Peter walked on water too, but when he saw the wind and waves, he became afraid and started to sink. Jesus caught him and said, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?" Peter's experience teaches us that when we focus on Jesus and trust Him, we can do amazing things, even in the midst of storms.
4. Living by Faith in Our Lives
Living by faith in our daily lives means trusting God in both big and small things. It means praying and seeking His guidance when making decisions. It means believing that God is with us, even when we face difficulties. When we live by faith, we don't rely only on our own
