(Isaiah 49:15)
"I will not forget you!"

🕊 Observation: Forgotten by People… But Not by God

This world is full of forgetfulness.

People forget birthdays.
Friends forget promises.
Families grow distant.
Even our own minds forget the goodness of God in hard seasons.

But Isaiah 49:15 gives us a powerful, comforting truth—God does not forget.

|| “Can a mother forget her nursing child?” the verse begins.
The answer seems obvious: Of course not. A mother, especially one nursing her child, is deeply connected. She feels every cry. Her life revolves around that baby. But then the verse says,
“Though she may forget, I will not forget you.”

What does that mean?

God is painting a picture. If the most caring, nurturing human bond on earth—a mother with her infant—can somehow forget, even then, He won’t.
His love surpasses even the deepest human relationships.

It’s hard to believe sometimes, especially when:

You pray and there’s no answer.

You feel abandoned by those you trusted.

Life seems unfair.

You’re in a long season of waiting or loss.

You might whisper in pain, “God… have You forgotten me?”

But the answer is already written in His Word:
"I will not forget you."

🔍 1. You Are Not Invisible

You may feel small or unimportant. Maybe your achievements don’t seem impressive. Maybe others have overlooked you. But God never sees you as just another face in the crowd.

|| Psalm 139:1-2 says, “You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.”

You’re not forgotten. You are fully known and fully loved.

Example: A teacher with 500 students may forget names. But a parent never forgets their child. That’s how God sees you—not as a stranger, but as His own.
