📖 Observation: You Were Built by the Father

When Paul says, “I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,” he’s reminding us of something powerful: you were created by Someone who knows your name and your purpose—even before you fully understand it.

We live in a world where people are trying to “build” themselves—build careers, images, platforms, independence. But without knowing your origin, you won’t know your true identity. And without knowing who your Father is, you’ll chase names the world gives you instead of living by the name God gave you.

Paul is not just praying here—he’s modeling what it means to remember our source. By kneeling, he places himself under the authority and care of the Father. He knows we don’t find our value by trying to “stand out” in the world, but by kneeling down before the One who made us.

This verse also tells us that every family, every person—past, present, and future—comes from God. That means none of us are nameless, and none of us are abandoned. Even if your earthly family is broken or distant, you have a heavenly Father who never forgets you.

Like Erik in the story, you may feel like you're building life alone. You might be trying to put the pieces together with no clear direction. But if you listen closely, you’ll discover that God left you blueprints long before you realized it. He shaped your gifts. He planned your path. And He’s waiting for you to open the garage of your heart and discover what He’s already begun building.
