Devotional Message:
(1 Thessalonians 5:24)
"The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it."

Observation:

This verse is packed with peace if we really understand what it’s saying.

Let’s go through it slowly:

1. "The one who calls you..."

God is the One who has called you. Your life is not an accident. The desires you feel to follow Jesus, to walk in obedience, to serve, to grow, to love others—those are not random. That’s God calling you.

He’s calling you into purpose.
He’s calling you into holiness.
He’s calling you into something bigger than yourself.

And it’s personal. God didn’t just call “people” in general. He called you. He knows your name. He knows your strengths and your weaknesses. And He called you anyway. That means He believes in what He can do through you.

2. "...is faithful."

This is so important: God is not like people. People can be flaky. They can change their minds. They can promise one thing and do another. But God is faithful. That means you can count on Him. If He said He’ll do something, He will. If He called you, He won’t abandon you halfway through.

Faithfulness means He doesn’t walk away when things get hard.
Faithfulness means He’s not discouraged by your weakness.
Faithfulness means He’s not just present when you’re doing well—He’s also present when you’re struggling.

God isn’t just faithful in general. He’s faithful to you.

3. "...and He will do it."

This is where everything changes. God doesn’t just call you—He empowers you. He doesn’t just give you instructions and walk away. He stays with you. He works in you. And ultimately, He will do the work in your life that needs to be done.

He will do the changing.
He will do the strengthening.
He will do the opening of doors.
He will do the shaping of your character.
He will do the healing.
He will do it.

That doesn’t mean we sit back and do nothing—but it does mean we stop
