Devotional Message:
(Luke 22:31-32)
"Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers."

Let's unpack this powerful message together.

1. Jesus Knows Our Struggles: In this passage, Jesus calls Peter by his original name, Simon, to get his attention. He tells Peter that Satan wants to test him and the other disciples. Jesus knows the challenges and temptations we face in our lives. Just as He knew what Peter was going to go through, He knows what we are going through as well. This is comforting because it means we are never alone in our struggles. Jesus understands our weaknesses and our battles.

2. Jesus Prays for Us: The most reassuring part of this passage is that Jesus tells Peter, "But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail." Imagine that—the Son of God praying for you! Jesus is our advocate, continually interceding on our behalf. When we are facing trials, it's comforting to know that Jesus Himself is praying for our faith to remain strong. This reminds us that we have divine support and that our struggles are noticed by God.
