Devotional Message:
(Luke 24:1-6)
"On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!"

This passage is all about the resurrection of Jesus. It’s a cornerstone of our faith, and it brings with many lessons that we can apply to our daily lives.

First, let’s talk about (hope). When the women went to the tomb that morning, they were filled with sadness and despair. They had seen Jesus crucified and buried. They expected to find His body, but instead, they found the tomb empty and were greeted with the news that Jesus had risen. This teaches us that no matter how bleak a situation may seem, there is always hope. Jesus overcame death, and this assures us that with faith, we too can overcome the challenges we face.

Second, this passage speaks to us about (faith). The women went to the tomb to care for Jesus’ body, a final act of love and devotion. Even though they didn’t fully understand what was happening, their faith led them to the tomb. And in their moment of confusion and fear, they were met with a miraculous revelation. This encourages us to keep our faith, even when we don’t fully understand God’s plan. Our faith can lead us to moments of profound revelation and understanding.
