Devotional Message:
(Psalm 139:7)
"Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?"

Observation:

Have you ever felt like running away—from life, from people, from responsibilities, maybe even from God?

David, the writer of this psalm, asks a powerful question: “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?” It’s like he’s imagined what it would be like to run away—to hide, to vanish, to find a place where even God wouldn’t see him.

But then he realizes something: there’s nowhere he can go where God is not already there.

This verse isn’t about being trapped by God—it’s about being surrounded by Him in love. David is not saying God is stalking him; he’s realizing that God’s presence is inescapable because His care is unshakable. Whether David is high in the heavens or low in the depths, in the light or in the dark, God is there. Not just watching… but caring, guiding, comforting, and calling him back.

Think about that for a moment. God is everywhere—not in a distant, faraway sense, but in a close, personal, real way. He’s in the silence of your lonely nights. He’s in the chaos of your busy mornings. He’s there when your heart is broken, when your doubts are loud, when your guilt feels heavy, when you’ve messed up again and feel like hiding.

God is not waiting for you to “fix yourself” before He draws near. He is already near—He’s always been. You can’t outrun Him. You can’t hide so well that He loses track of you. You are always within God’s reach.

So what does this mean for you—practically, today?

1. When You Feel Alone, Remember You're Not.
Loneliness can lie to us. It tells us we’re abandoned. It tells us no one understands. But Psalm 139:7 reminds us that we are never truly alone. Even when no one else sees you or gets what you're going through, God is right there. Talk to Him. Even if all you can say
