Devotional Message:
(II Corinthians 6:6)
We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love.

Paul was sharing about all the hardship and suffering that he and the church was experiencing. Even though the times were rough, he writes that the Holy Spirit still produced the attributes that God desired in their life. Attributes like purity, understanding, patience, kindness and love were able to get them through the hardest times. In another passage Paul writes, “The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” How is this done? Paul answers, “Let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.” Today, commit your way to Him. Ask for the leading, direction and influence of the Holy Spirit in all that you do, think and say. When you do, He will produce the desired effects in your life.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, lead me today. I desire Your fruit to be evident in my life. Guide me, direct me, influence everything I do. Amen.
