(Psalm 147:5)
"Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit."

These are not just beautiful words — they are reminders of who God is and what He is like. This verse tells us that God is great, God is powerful, and God understands everything, without limits. Let’s break that down and see why it matters so much for our everyday lives.

First, it says that God is great and mighty in power. When we think of power, we often imagine big things like thunderstorms, strong winds, or even powerful people who seem to control everything around them. But God’s power is far greater than all of that. He created the whole universe. He made the stars, the mountains, the oceans, and everything that we see. He holds everything together and nothing happens without His knowledge. That same power is at work in our lives. It’s comforting to know that the One who made the entire universe is the same God who is watching over you and me.

But not only is God powerful, the verse also says that His understanding has no limit. That means God knows everything. There is nothing hidden from Him. He knows the past, the present, and the future. He knows what is happening all around the world, but He also knows what is happening in your heart right now.
