Devotional Message:
(Isaiah 40:26)
"Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one."

Story:

Michael was a successful businessman in his 40s. From the outside, it looked like he had everything—his own company, a beautiful home, and respect in the community. But on the inside, he felt tired, anxious, and alone. He carried pressure every day—decisions to make, people to lead, bills to pay, a family to support. Lately, it felt like the weight was too much.

One evening, after a particularly stressful day, Michael drove out of the city to clear his mind. He found a quiet spot, stepped out of his car, and looked up. The night sky stretched above him, full of stars. For the first time in a long time, he stood still. No phone. No noise. Just silence and stars.

As he stared upward, something softened in him. The stars reminded him of how small he was—and how big God must be. Then a verse from his childhood came to mind: “He calls them all by name…” Suddenly, Michael felt a strange peace. If God could name and keep track of all those stars, surely He could take care of him, too.

Observation: God’s Immense Power and Deep Care

Isaiah 40:26 is not just poetic—it’s powerful. It says, “Lift up your eyes… who created these?” God is calling us to pause, reflect, and look at creation as a reminder of His greatness. When we look at the stars, we are seeing the work of God’s hands. He not only made them—He numbers them, names them, and holds them in place.

That same God sees you.

Isaiah spoke these words to a tired, discouraged people. The Israelites were worn down, scattered, and unsure if God was still paying attention. But Isaiah says, “Lift your eyes.” Don’t look at your worries—look at your Creator. If He can manage the stars, He can manage your life. And not one of His children is missing from His care.
