(John 11:25-26)
"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?'"
In this passage, Jesus is referring to Lazarus, who had died and been laid in a tomb. He is assuring Martha, Lazarus's sister, that even though her brother has died, there is still hope. Jesus has the power to bring him back to life. But His words reach far beyond this specific situation. They speak directly to our hearts today.
Jesus wants us to know that if we believe in Him, even though we physically die, our spirits will live on. Death doesn't have the final say for those who trust in Him. He promises us eternal life with Him.
Jesus assures us that whoever lives their life believing in Him will never truly die. This means that even in this earthly life, we can experience the fullness of His life-transforming power. He offers us a life that goes beyond the physical, a life that is filled with purpose, joy, and spiritual vitality.
When we place our faith in Jesus, we find hope in the midst of despair, comfort in times of sorrow, and purpose in the midst of confusion. He gives us the strength to overcome any challenge and the assurance of His presence with us.
So I encourage you, to hold on to these words of Jesus. Embrace the truth that He is the resurrection and the life. In Him, we find the source of eternal hope and the promise of new beginnings. Let His love and power transform your life today. He is the author of life, and He holds the keys to eternal life. Trust in Him, believe in Him, and experience the fullness of His resurrection power.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come to you in prayer,
