(John 11:35-36)
"Jesus wept. Then the Jews said, 'See how he loved him!'"

In these verses, we find a beautiful display of Jesus' love, compassion, and empathy towards his friends, Mary and Martha, upon hearing about their brother Lazarus' death.

Verse 35 simply says, "Jesus wept." These two words hold tremendous depth and meaning. They show us that even Jesus, the Son of God, experienced emotions like we do. He mourned and felt the pain of losing a loved one. This reminds us that we serve a Savior who truly understands our sorrows and struggles.

Through his tears, Jesus reveals his heart of compassion. He saw the anguish and heartache that Mary, Martha, and the others were going through, and it moved him deeply. In our own times of grief and sadness, let us remember that Jesus is there with us, comforting us and sharing in our sorrow.

Verse 36 says, "Then the Jews said, 'See how he loved him!'" The people around Jesus witnessed his display of love and were amazed. In the same way, when we face difficult circumstances in our lives, let us be reminded of the unfailing love that Jesus has for us. His love is boundless, unchanging, and everlasting. No matter what we are going through, we can trust that he is right there, loving us deeply.

So, if you find yourself in a season of sorrow or struggle, take comfort in these verses. Jesus wept because he cares for you. His love and compassion are unending. He understands your pain and is there to support you. Trust in his divine plan and know that he will bring beauty out of the ashes. Keep your faith strong and lean on his everlasting love.
