Devotional Message:
(John 13:14)
"If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet."

Devotional Message:
Let’s think about this. During Jesus’ time, washing feet was a task for the lowest servant in the household. The roads were dusty, and people wore sandals, so feet got dirty quickly. Yet here, we see Jesus, the Son of God, kneeling to wash the feet of His disciples. This act was more than just cleaning their feet—it was a powerful example of humility and love.

Jesus wanted His disciples to understand that true greatness comes from serving others. He wasn’t asking them to literally wash feet all the time. Instead, He was showing that we should be willing to do even the humblest tasks to care for and help one another.

How does this apply to us? Today, "washing someone’s feet" might look like helping a friend in need, showing patience with someone difficult, or even doing small acts of kindness like helping with chores or listening to someone who’s struggling. Sometimes, these tasks can feel inconvenient or beneath us. But when we serve with humility, we reflect the love and character of Jesus.

Jesus also reminds us that serving isn’t about seeking recognition or rewards. It’s about putting others before ourselves, just as He did. When we serve with a genuine heart, people see God’s love through our actions. It could even open the door for them to know Jesus personally.

Let’s ask ourselves today: Who can I serve? Is there someone in my life who needs encouragement, help, or kindness? Maybe it’s a family member, a coworker, or a stranger. Don’t hesitate to step out of your comfort zone. Remember, when we serve others, we are following the example of Jesus Himself.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for showing us what it means to serve with humility and love. Help us to follow Your example and see
