Devotional Message:
(John 14:6)
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'

Observation
These words were spoken by Jesus to comfort His disciples, who were feeling anxious and uncertain about the future. Jesus had just told them He would be leaving soon, and this caused fear in their hearts. But instead of leaving them in their confusion, Jesus gave them a clear and powerful statement of hope.

He said that He is the way, meaning He is the only path to God. He is not just a teacher pointing the way or a prophet giving advice—He is the way itself. Jesus also called Himself the truth, meaning that everything about Him reveals God’s truth. When we follow Jesus, we are walking in the truth that leads to eternal life. Lastly, He said He is the life, reminding us that eternal life is found in Him alone.

This verse also challenges the idea that there are many ways to God. Jesus made it clear: there is only one way, and that way is through Him. This is not meant to exclude anyone but to lovingly point all people to the truth. Jesus invites everyone to trust Him, follow Him, and find life through Him.

Application
This truth has deep meaning for our daily lives. First, if Jesus is the way, we don’t need to feel lost or uncertain about our direction. Life can be overwhelming, and sometimes we’re unsure of the right choices to make. But when we focus on Jesus, seeking His guidance through prayer and His Word, He will direct our steps. Trusting Jesus means putting Him at the center of every decision, big or small.

Second, since Jesus is the truth, we can find clarity in a world full of confusion and lies. There are many voices around us—social media, friends, and even our own doubts—that can lead us astray. But when we hold on to Jesus as the truth, we can discern what is real and what truly matters.
