(John 15:5)
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

Jesus compares Himself to a vine, and we are the branches that are connected to Him. Just as a branch cannot survive or bear fruit unless it remains attached to the vine, we cannot thrive in our spiritual lives unless we remain connected to Jesus.

Jesus invites us to abide in Him, to remain in His presence, to cultivate a deep and intimate relationship with Him. This relationship is the key to experiencing a fruitful and purposeful life. When we stay connected to Jesus, when we spend time in prayer, studying His Word, and seeking His guidance, we position ourselves to receive His love, grace, and wisdom.

The second part of this verse brings us even more encouragement. Jesus promises that if we remain in Him, we will bear much fruit. What does this mean? Just as a vine produces healthy and abundant fruit, our lives too will produce blessings, goodness, and positive impact when we stay connected to Christ.

Remaining in Jesus allows His divine power to flow through us, enabling us to live with purpose and make a difference in the world around us. It means that we have access to His strength, love, and wisdom, empowering us to overcome challenges, serve others selflessly, and positively influence our spheres of influence.

Finally, Jesus wants us to know that apart from Him, we can do nothing. This statement might sound humbling, but it also carries immense assurance. It reminds us that relying solely on our own abilities and strength will ultimately lead to exhaustion and disappointment. However, with Christ as our source, our foundation, and our guide, we have access to
