(John 19:11)
Jesus answered, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore, the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin."

In John 19:11, Jesus stands before Pontius Pilate, who claims to have the power to free or condemn Him. Jesus responds, saying, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above." These words carry a profound truth that we can apply to our own lives.

When life presents us with trials and hardships, it's easy to become disheartened and overwhelmed. We may feel as though we have lost control or that the situation is beyond our grasp. However, let us remember that the ultimate authority lies in the hands of our Heavenly Father.

Just as Jesus recognized that Pilate's power came from above, we must acknowledge that all power and authority in our lives ultimately comes from God.
