Devotional Message:
(John 20:29)
"Then Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.’”

Observation:
In this verse, Jesus speaks to Thomas after His resurrection. Thomas, also known as "Doubting Thomas," refused to believe that Jesus had risen unless he saw and touched His wounds. When Jesus finally appeared to him, Thomas believed, but Jesus responded with a profound truth: “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

This statement shows the depth of Jesus’ understanding of faith. Faith is not just about seeing proof—it is about trusting God even when we cannot see Him. Thomas had the advantage of physically seeing Jesus, but Jesus highlights a greater blessing for those who believe without requiring physical evidence. This includes us today. We don’t see Jesus in person, but we can see His work in our lives, feel His presence, and trust His promises through His Word.

Faith is like believing that the sun will rise tomorrow, even though we haven’t seen it yet. We trust because of what we know to be true. Similarly, we trust in Jesus because of His Word, the testimonies of others, and the changes we see in ourselves and the world around us when we follow Him.

Application:

1. Faith in God’s Promises:
Just as Thomas doubted until he saw, we might struggle with doubt in tough times. When prayers feel unanswered or life seems uncertain, remember Jesus’ words: “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” Choose to trust God’s promises even when the results aren’t visible yet. Faith is believing in His faithfulness despite our circumstances.
