"Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them."

Hebrews 7 is a chapter that emphasizes the uniqueness and superiority of Jesus as our High Priest. In the Old Testament, the High Priest was a central figure, mediating between God and the people, offering sacrifices for their sins. However, the author of Hebrews points out that Jesus is an even greater High Priest.

1. The Order of Melchizedek: Hebrews 7 introduces the mysterious figure of Melchizedek, who was both a priest and a king. Jesus is described as being a priest "in the order of Melchizedek," signifying a priesthood that transcends the limitations of the Levitical priesthood.
