In this verse, Paul encourages Timothy to do his best to present himself to God as one approved—a worker who has no reason to be ashamed because he correctly handles the word of truth. This verse is a powerful reminder for all of us to take our faith seriously. It speaks to the importance of studying God's Word and living in a way that reflects our understanding of it.

The phrase “do your best” reminds us that our spiritual life requires effort. It’s easy to fall into a routine where we only engage with Scripture once in a while, but Paul is calling us to be diligent. Just as a worker strives to excel at their job, we are called to be intentional in how we study and apply the Bible in our lives.

When Paul says, “present yourself to God as one approved,” he’s talking about living in a way that pleases God, not just people.
