RUNNING FROM GOD | Daily Devotional on Jonah 2:2

What happens when we run away from God and ignore His instructions? Jonah 2:2 reminds us that even in our darkest moments, God hears our cries for help. No matter how far we have wandered, we can still turn back to Him, seek His forgiveness, and experience His mercy and guidance.

In this daily Christian devotional, discover the lessons from Jonah's story and learn why running from God's will can lead us away from His purpose. Through Bible study, prayer, reflection, and practical application, we will understand that God's correction is not the same as rejection and that our failures should lead us to repentance rather than cause us to hide from Him.

This devotional explores how to recognize God's instructions, take responsibility for our mistakes, accept His correction, and return to Him with a humble heart. When life becomes difficult because of our wrong decisions, we can still call upon God for wisdom, forgiveness, strength, and direction.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN FROM THIS DEVOTIONAL:

1. Stop ignoring God's instructions just because they are difficult.
2. Do not hide from God when you make a mistake.
3. Accept God's correction instead of blaming others.
4. Call upon God when you feel helpless.
5. Return to God and make a real change through repentance and obedience.

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY — JONAH 2:2

“From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry.”

REFLECTION QUESTIONS:

Are you avoiding something God is asking you to do? Have guilt, fear, pride, or disobedience kept you from approaching Him in prayer? Take a moment for quiet time with God and honestly examine your heart. Remember that you do not have to hide your struggles from Him. Come to Him in repentance, trust His mercy, and allow His Word to guide you toward a life of faithful obedience.
