SAYING YES BY FAITH | Daily Devotional

Are you facing a situation where God is asking you to take a step of faith, even though you feel afraid or unprepared? This daily devotional based on Numbers 14:9 reminds us of a powerful truth: “The LORD is with us.”

In this Christian devotional, we reflect on the faith of Joshua and Caleb when the Israelites were standing before the Promised Land. While others focused on the giants, strong cities, and difficulties, Joshua and Caleb chose to focus on God’s presence and God’s promise. Their faith was not based on having an easy journey. Their faith was based on knowing that God was with them.

Sometimes, God asks us to say yes when we cannot see the whole picture. We may feel unready, afraid, uncertain, or overwhelmed. We may wonder what will happen next. But faith means trusting God even when we cannot see everything ahead.

This Bible devotional encourages us to say yes to God even when we feel unready, take the next step instead of worrying about the whole journey, trust God when fear says no, surrender what we cannot control, obey God even when obedience is difficult, and keep our faith when we face the “giants” in our lives.

Through this Bible reflection and quiet time with God, ask yourself: Am I allowing fear to control my decisions, or am I trusting God because He is with me? What is one step of faith God may be asking you to take today?

Remember: you do not have to know everything that will happen before you obey God. You do not have to see the entire path before taking the next step. The LORD is with you.

🙏 Prayer: Father God, give us faith to say yes when You call us to move forward. When we are afraid, remind us that You are with us. Help us trust You even when we cannot see the whole path. Give us courage to obey and strength to keep going. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
