"And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."

Devotional:

In Hebrews 10:1-18, we are reminded of the profound contrast between the Old Testament sacrificial system and the once-for-all sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The author explains that the repeated animal sacrifices of the Old Covenant could never truly take away sins; they were a shadow, a temporary reminder of humanity's need for redemption.

However, in Christ, we find the fulfillment of God's plan. He willingly took on a human body and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Jesus' sacrifice didn't just cover our sins temporarily; it removed them completely for all who believe in Him. This act of selflessness and obedience ushered in a new covenant where God's laws are written on our hearts, and our sins are remembered no more.

As we reflect on this passage, let us marvel at the incredible love and grace of our Savior. Through His sacrifice, we are made holy and perfect before God, and we enter into a covenant relationship with Him that is unbreakable. May we continually draw near to God with confidence, knowing that our sins have been forgiven once and for all through Jesus Christ.

Application:
