Devotional Message:
(Hebrews 11:30)
"By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days."

Observation:
This verse is part of a bigger chapter that talks about faith—faith that moves mountains, opens seas, and even breaks down walls. In the story of Jericho, God asked the Israelites to do something unusual. He didn't ask them to attack the city right away. Instead, He told them to march around the city walls once a day for six days, and on the seventh day, they were to march around it seven times. Then they were to blow trumpets and shout loudly. It seemed like a strange battle plan. Normally, soldiers would rely on their weapons and strength to defeat their enemies, but God asked them to rely on faith and obedience.

Can you imagine what the people of Jericho might have thought when they saw the Israelites marching around their city day after day? It must have seemed foolish to them. And maybe, at some point, even the Israelites themselves wondered if it would work. But they trusted God's instructions and followed them exactly. When they shouted on the seventh day, the walls of Jericho fell down flat! The impossible became possible because of their faith in God.

This story shows us that sometimes, God’s ways are different from what we expect or understand. He might ask us to do things that seem strange or even impossible. But when we follow His direction, even if it doesn't make sense to us, we show our faith in Him, and He can do great things in our lives.

Application: We all have walls in our lives—problems or challenges that seem impossible to overcome. Maybe it's a situation at work, a relationship that’s broken, a financial struggle, or a fear that holds you back. Like the walls of Jericho, these challenges can seem too big, too strong, and too impossible to break through. But Hebrews 11:30
