(Galatians 4:7)
"So you are no longer a slave, but God's child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir."

In the book of Galatians, Paul tells a story about our journey with God. It's like growing up from being a kid to being a grown-up. At first, we were like kids following strict rules, just like when you have to listen to grown-ups.

1. Rules and Laws: Paul talks about a time when we followed lots of rules and laws, just like kids following instructions. We didn't understand God's love very well back then.

2. Part of God's Family: But something wonderful happened. When we believed in Jesus, it was like joining God's family. We went from being like servants to being God's own children. We didn't have to worry about rules and punishment anymore. We felt God's love and kindness.

3. God's Special Gifts: The most amazing part is that we get all the special gifts and promises God has for His children. Just like kids inherit things from their parents, we inherit God's incredible blessings.

4. The Message: The main message here is simple: You don't have to be afraid or worried about doing everything perfectly. You're now a special child of God, and you get all His good things because of Jesus, not because of what you do.

May this devotional help you understand that you're like a special child in God's family, and you can enjoy all His blessings because of His love for you.

Prayer:
Father God, thank you for making us your special children through Jesus. Help us remember that we don't have to be perfect because you love us. We want to enjoy all the good things you have for us. Fill us with your love and help us live as your children every day. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
