(Colossians 1:18)
"And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy."

In the opening verses of Colossians, the Apostle Paul writes to the believers in Colossae, expressing his gratitude for their faith, love, and the hope they have in Christ. He commends them for their response to the Gospel, which is bearing fruit not only in their lives but also throughout the world.

Paul's prayer for the Colossians is that they may be filled with the knowledge of God's will, guided by the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. This knowledge is not merely intellectual but transformative, leading to a life that pleases the Lord. It's a life characterized by good works, spiritual growth, endurance, and patience—a life marked by thanksgiving to the Father who has qualified them for His kingdom of light.
