Daily Devotions: If You Cannot Afford - February 15, 2025
COP Manila
This devotional from Leviticus 5:5-11 reminds us that everyone can afford to give an offering to God. In ancient Israel, sacrifices were required for sin, but God provided options based on each person's ability. Those who were financially stable could bring a sheep or goat, while those with fewer resources could offer two doves or pigeons. For the poorest individuals, even a small amount of fine flour was acceptable.
This passage highlights that God never excludes anyone from worship. He doesn’t measure our giving by the size of the gift but by the sincerity of our hearts. Even today, some may feel they have little to offer, but as long as our hearts are willing, God values our efforts—whether it’s money, time, or skills. It’s not about the amount, but about faithfulness and generosity.
