COP Manila
Hebrews 4:12–13 (NLT) – “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.”
In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall addresses the popular advice to "follow your heart," warning that human emotions and perceptions are easily manipulated by external influences. Turning to Hebrews chapter 4, he explains that believers should follow the living, powerful Word of God rather than their own changeable feelings.

Pastor Sumrall shares practical guidance for making major life decisions, explaining how reading extended passages of Scripture allows the Holy Spirit to use the Word like a sharp two-edged sword. This process cleanly separates natural desires from divine spiritual direction, granting believers settled clarity and peace in knowing God's will.
