Daily Devotions: The Reward for Suffering - October 4, 2026
COP Manila
Isaiah 61:8 (NLT) – “For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing. I will faithfully reward my people for their suffering and make an everlasting covenant with them.”
In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall offers powerful encouragement to those facing persecution and trials for their faith. Turning to Isaiah chapters 61 and 63, he highlights the comforting reality that whenever God's people go through suffering at the hands of opposition, God suffers right alongside them and personally rescues them.

Pastor Sumrall explains that standing firm under persecution carries a guaranteed divine reward. Rather than feeling abandoned during hard seasons, believers can take comfort in knowing that the Lord loves justice, sees every hardship endured for His name, and promises to faithfully reward and carry His children through every trial.
