Day 10: Friday of the First Week of Lent | SPIRITUAL JOURNEY FROM LENT TOWARDS EASTER

First Reading (Ez 18:21-28) & Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew (Mt 5:20-26)
- Again the Lord Jesus emphasizes full conversion and turning away from all iniquities and sinful acts. He reminds us of the value of reconciliation as in the "days of old." Again and again, the Redeemer inculcates in us the "road to perfection" in order for us to achieve union with God. Plain and simple, we have just to obey and follow the Lord's command so that Heaven rejoices when we completely turn away from sin.
