Day 11: Saturday of the First Week of Lent | SPIRITUAL JOURNEY FROM LENT TOWARDS EASTER

On the First Reading (Dt 26: 16-19) of Saturday of the first week of Lent, Rev. Fr. Salvador "Budge" O. Orara talks of communion and/or covenant with God as Moses relays to the people the commandments of God to be followed or obeyed by the people wholeheartedly. In line with the reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew (Mt 5: 43-48), Jesus calls for perfection or holiness to His disciples and to us at present time. Holiness or perfection is loving equally all our fellowmen, be they good or bad, next to loving God with all our hearts, our mind, our soul, and our strength.
