DAY 13: Monday of Second Week of Lent - SPIRITUAL JOURNEY FROM LENT TOWARDS EASTER

On this second week of Lent, the first reading from the Book of the penitent Prophet Daniel (Dn 9: 4b-10) tells of Prophet of Daniel as he groans for all the sins, wickedness and evil deeds that his generation had done. He laments of the disobedience of the people to God's commandments. During this Lenten season, we should do likewise for all the iniquities, sins, failures and neglect that we have done in our lives. This Lenten season is an opportunity to look inward as we disposes of ourselves with all our attachments and inordinate desire and seek God's mercy and compassion. Rev. Fr. Salvador "Budge" O. Orara, Jr. reflects on the reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke (Lk 6: 36-38). Here, the Golden Rule applies and will be the basis of judgment from the Lord.
