💁🏻 A Heart That Listens Early – Samuel’s Calling
Samuel was still a young boy when God called him in the night. At that time, the word of the Lord was rare, and people were not listening to God. Samuel did not yet fully know the Lord, but God still called him. At first, Samuel thought it was Eli speaking, but after being guided, he answered, “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.” This shows us that God does not wait for us to grow old before He works in our lives. God is sovereign in calling His people—even from a young age. It is God who opens our ears and hearts to hear Him. Samuel’s story teaches us that what matters most is not age, but a willing and listening heart before God.

🙏🏼 Prayer:
Father God, sometimes my heart is noisy and busy, and I don’t stop or pause to listen to You. Thank You for showing me through Samuel that You speak even to those who are young and willing. Please help me slow down and pay attention to Your word. Open my ears so I can hear You clearly, and give me a heart that is ready to obey. I don’t want to ignore Your voice or delay when You are calling me. Teach me to say, “Speak, Lord,” and truly mean it. I want to listen to You and follow You with all my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
