How have you been treating the gifts given to you, brothers and sisters? The gospel shows us a master who entrusted talents—or coins of great value—to his servants according to each one's capability. One received five, the other two, the third got one.
Those who got five and two talents doubled the amount of what was respectively given to them to the delight of the master, who in turn gave them great responsibilities. The servant who got one talent simply buried it, yielding no return, and the master took his talent back and had him thrown outside.
Let us look at the talents or gifts entrusted to us and how we are handling them.
