February 19, 2025 | Wednesday Dawn Prayer Meeting | A Prayer about Contentment

Philippians 4:12-13
"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well-fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength".

Yet even now I find myself falling into the trap of thinking that I absolutely need so much more than I have. Perhaps TV and Internet ads are heightening my desires, or maybe I am envious of what my friends and co-workers have and I want the same for myself.
Whatever the reason, this lust for what I don’t have is sin. Forgive me.
