TODAY'S GOSPEL: Mark 6:30-34
The Gospel of Mark reminds us about the importance of compassion. In the same way that Jesus set aside rest to care for His flock, developing a caring environment for the people we were entrusted to care for is part of our responsibility as Christians. Compassion and contemplation come hand in hand. We must be sensitive, open our hearts to the feelings of others, and have the integrity to help them when they need us.
