Should I Stop Taking Medicine if I’m Believing God for Healing?
Some Christians quietly wonder, If I truly trust God to heal me, shouldn’t I throw away my medicine?
Friend, faith is not foolishness. God is the ultimate Healer (Exodus 15:26), but He can use many means—miracles, doctors, treatments, and yes, even pills.
Think about it: if you broke your leg, you’d pray for healing and get a cast. Taking medicine doesn’t mean you’re doubting God—it means you’re stewarding the body He gave you. Luke, one of the Gospel writers, was a physician (Colossians 4:14). That wasn’t a contradiction. It was part of God’s provision.
Healing is about trust—trusting God to work through His Word, through prayer, and sometimes through the skill of medical professionals. So don’t confuse recklessness with faith.
Pray. Believe. Take your medicine. And watch how God weaves it all together for your restoration.
