Good Intentions Do Not Make God’s Will - July 19, 2024 DD
"Good intentions flow from our heart to God. And God's will flows from His heart to ours. Today's reading from 2 Chronicles teaches us that our intentions, no matter how good, do not guarantee God's approval. It is still important to inquire and follow His plans in every decision.
2 Chronicles 6:7-9 NLT
Then Solomon said, "My father, David, wanted to build this Temple to honor the name of the Lord, the God of Israel. But the Lord told him, 'You wanted to build the Temple to honor my name. Your intention is good, but you are not the one to do it. One of your own sons will build the Temple to honor me.'
