HERE IAM TO WORSHIP | Chris Tomlin | COVER BY THE PSALMS OF THE HEART

“Here I Am to Worship,” written by Tim Hughes, is a beautiful Christian worship song that expresses our love, gratitude, and reverence for Jesus Christ. It reminds us that worship is more than singing songs or lifting our hands in praise. True worship begins in the heart—a heart that recognizes who Jesus is, remembers His sacrifice, and willingly surrenders everything to Him.

The song invites us to reflect on the humility of Jesus, who came into this world not in earthly riches or glory, but in simplicity and love. Though He is the Light of the World, He entered our darkness to bring us hope, salvation, and eternal life. His coming reminds us that God's love reaches us even in our weakest and most difficult moments.

At the heart of this song is the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. He gave His life because of His immeasurable love for humanity. When we remember what He has done for us, our worship becomes more than a routine or a religious obligation. It becomes a sincere response of gratitude to the One who loved us first and offered us the gift of salvation.

Sometimes, we become so occupied with our daily responsibilities, personal struggles, and worries that we forget to make time for God. We may pray only when we need something or worship only when life is going well. But this song reminds us that Jesus deserves our worship not only during moments of happiness, but also in times of uncertainty, pain, and weakness.

To say, “Here I am to worship,” is to come before God with an open and humble heart. It means acknowledging that we do not have all the answers, that we need His guidance, and that our lives are most meaningful when we allow Him to lead us. It is an invitation to set aside our pride, surrender our fears, and recognize His presence in every season of our lives.

True worship is also reflected in how we live. It is shown through our kindness, forgiveness,
