On a high mountain, Jesus was transfigured before Peter, James, and John. They saw Elijah and Moses conversing with Jesus. Friends, this event is important to remember during the Lenten season because it gives us a glimpse of Jesus’s glory, which would shine during his passion, death and Resurrection.
So friends, as we continue our preparation for the Holy Week, when we will commemorate Jesus’s passion and death, let us be consoled by the Lord’s transfiguration. The law and prophets would find fulfillment in him. He is, after all, the Son whom God did not spare for love of us. Let us listen to him!
