David had 5 stones and a slingshot. But it only took 1 stone to slay the giant.

These are what we can get from this story:

1. It only takes one move of God. Just one touch from God to kill every giant in your life.

2. Goliath was not David's greatest obstacle, instead he was David's blessing. - After David fought and killed Goliath, his life turned from being a shepherd boy to being the King we all know today. Goliath became his stepping stone into getting him to his destiny.

3. If the giant was David's blessing, then we must also see the things we face in life, that seems like giants to us, as blessings. - We must also be like David who faced his giant and overcome.

4. His faith in the God of Israel who is able to deliver enabled him to do all these things. - David had full trust and he fully believed that the God of Israel is not be mocked. No one can mock the armies of the living God and win.

Then David took his shepherd’s staff, selected five smooth stones from the brook, and put them in the pocket of his shepherd’s pack, and with his sling in his hand approached Goliath.

1 Samuel 17:49-50
49 Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.
50 So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him
