JEPHTHAH, A MIGHTY WARRIOR (Pastor Marlon delos Reyes) - June 4, 2023
COP Manila
1:31:16 Pastor Marlon delos Reyes reminded us of Jephthah, the Gileadite, a Judge in Israel's history mentioned in the Book of Judges and Hebrews. Jephthah is described as a mighty warrior, destined for leadership, carrying God's name (Exo. 15:2-3 and Zeph 3:17). Jephthah faced ridicule and shame from birth, being the son of a prostitute. His brothers disowned him and drove him out because they didn't want him to have a share of the inheritance. He left quietly, not retaliating, and moved to another place. Eventually, Jephthah was called upon to lead and achieve great victory for his people. His story highlights the importance of fulfilling one's purpose, using God-given skills, and not allowing negative experiences to deter us from God's plan.
