“Jesus Alone” (Matthew 17:1-9) Pastor Mel Caparros August 13, 2023 Sunday Service

In our society which is tolerant to religious syncretism, Jesus has just become one of the boys. This is sad, because the Bible says that "there is no salvation in any other name except the Name of Jesus". The Bible also says that "there is only one mediator between man and God, and that is the man Jesus Christ."

And then the Bible says that "we should worship no other God." In a society however that is confused because of multi-racial and cultural influences, the significance of these truths are seldom listened to, for to do so, means NARROW-MINDEDNESS, and society says we should be BROADMINDED.

But the Bible indeed is “NARROW-MINDED”, because TRUTH IS NARROW, not MULTI-DIMENSIONAL, ATTRACTIVE as it might be. The NARROWNESS in the Bible is
summed up in the phrase "JESUS ALONE”.
